A life committed to service, leadership, and progress

More Than a Name

About me

I am Jahed, and like many of you, I come from a middle-class family that knows sacrifice, struggle, and perseverance. My father was a bus driver, and I grew up with my family in a small room, learning early that every dream must fight for space.

I began my education in Bangla-medium schools, continued through madrasa education, and eventually completed my graduation as Doctor (BDS). I have served in government hospitals, private clinics, corporate offices, and spent many years working in NGOs, gaining diverse experience and insight. These experiences have shaped my understanding of our nation’s challenges and strengthened my commitment to serve. My journey shows that no matter where we begin, with determination, perseverance, and service, we can rise to create a better future for our country.

For too long, our Bangladesh has been held back — divided by politics, weakened by corruption, and slowed by short-term thinking. Families struggle to survive, students long for opportunity, young people search for work, and citizens yearn to live with dignity and security. These challenges cannot wait for another leader or another generation. The time for change is now.

Some may say the challenges are too great, or that change is impossible. I say: the impossible is what Bangladeshis make possible every day. My story is the story of millions of young Bangladeshis who dream of a country where merit matters more than connections, where institutions serve people instead of power, and where every citizen has a voice in shaping the future.

For more than a decade, I have dedicated my life to youth development, serving thousands of young people as a youth leadership instructor. I have seen firsthand the courage, energy, and sacrifice of our youth — from 1971 to today, they have given their blood and their hope for this nation. I believe the youth are not the future of Bangladesh — they are the present, the heartbeat of our nation, and the power that can lift us all.

I am not just a leader; I am your brother, your friend, your son — someone who shares your struggles and dreams. I am married to a remarkable woman, who, after my parents, is the biggest part of my life. Every relationship matters to me — friends from childhood, school, work, and every corner of life are part of this journey. You, too, are my partner in this mission. Together, we will create a Bangladesh that is fairer, stronger, and full of opportunity for all.

This journey is not about me. It is about us — every citizen who believes in justice, merit, and progress. Change will not come if we wait for someone else. Change will come when we stand together — with courage, with conviction, and with hope.

The time is now. The power is ours. Just be the change to bring the change.
